The format also facilitates dipping into the book during a few minutes of downtime at the hospital or office. Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition: A Practically Painless Review is a quick and easy way to master these tricky topics and is suitable for those studying for the pediatric board exam, practicing physicians brushing up their skills and any busy clinician who wants to learn more about these topics while on the go.

Solid first pediatric imaging book for a radiology resident doing his first rotation in pediatric radiology. Covers all major topics and considerations in pediatric imaging. Easy to read. Nicely presented. Features nice images to support the well-written text.

This book definitely serves his purpose. However, for future rotations (PGY4-5), I would recommend more in-depth textbooks.

Description

Now in its Second Edition, this text focuses exclusively on the management of hospitalized pediatric patients from admission to discharge. It is an excellent resource for residency programs, hospitalist fellowships, and continuing education for physicians whose practice includes the management of hospitalized newborns and children. Because pediatric hospital care is provided by a wide variety of healthcare professionals and in many different hospital settings, this text provides a framework for unified management and effective and efficient care. This edition includes new sections on emergency medicine and psychiatric hospitalization and expanded coverage of management of children with complex and chronic conditions.

1/2 through the book. Great review of Pediatric Radiology. The images are on the smaller side, making hard to view subtle findings.
