Excellent cosmetic and functional results can be shown with this treatment modality. This book comprehensively examines the indications for radiation therapy of cutaneous cancers, pre-cancerous lesions and benign dermatological disorders. The monograph provides concise introduction to physical and radiobiological principles, selection of radiation factors, dose definitions, as well as radiation reactions and risk assessments. Specific indications for radiotherapy of cutaneous neoplasms and radiation protection measures are discussed. Topics include radiation therapy of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, lymphomas, Kaposi’s sarcoma, Lentigo maligna melanoma, and Merkel cell tumor. A separate chapter discusses the skin reactions after nuclear accidents. Major scientific publications of the past 10 years are reviewed.

I love my books for my Radiology Classes versus renting or on-line editions. My books are used as I write notes, highlight important information for myself, underline instructors points, and underline (with a different color) what was on our tests, and those books are perfectly fine. I am almost finished with the Radiology Program and this textbook that is required for our Pathology class is the pits! I have opened this book a total of 3 times and the first few pages have fallen out! I don’t believe that the printing company had anything to do with the binding of the book. For the cost of this book, one would believe that they would receive a quality product as well. Certainly not worth the money paid.

This is a very good overall book for radiology resident/registrar level. It is easy to read, and about 80% high-yield facts. Being the first edition there are quite a few typos/grammatical errors, but otherwise it is quality. I would recommend it for Part 2 study for FRANZCR/FRCR & equivalent radiology board exams in the US.

“Our opinion on this book remains certainly positive, also because it serves to occupy an almost empty space with a handy, clear and simple publication. We suggest this atlas as a standard text for nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists, residents and technicians whose work involves PET/CT imaging. It can also be suitable as a text for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.” (Sara M. d. A. Giorgio and Luigi Mansi, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Vol. 42, 2015)
