Once again I have been impressed by the level of input and comprehension into each chapter. I have no doubt that my medical students will be carrying around ECG at a Glance as much as they already carry around Medicine at a Glance! Could I be cheeky and ask for a copy or 2 when the book is finally printed! ‘ – Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist, James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough

This is not one of the better blueprint books. I’d start with a copy of Surgical Recall and the NMS casebook and see if you really want a more structured textbook reading experience after going through those.

I’m a 4th year medical student and I wanted a good reference for neuroanatomy/physiology, but I didn’t want anything that was too dense. The book has three main sections. Each page has really good figures and text that correlates with each of the diagrams. It has little boxes with clinical points – which are a nice reminder (The book isn’t geared toward clinical neurology) I’m glad I purchased the book and I think it would make a good reference for anyone studying neuroanatomy etc.

Manson’s/Hunter’s/Guerrant’s are all great – but so time consuming. This small text is succinct and manages to give you all the clinical information you need in a way that makes it easy to absorb. Even if you were to read one the big books – I’d still recommend this book to help make connections and think through disease processes. Great discussions of patient management. Flow charts and diagrams are invaluable. If you’re taking a DTM&H course (I just finished one) this is the perfect text. I’d also recommend it for low resource clinical settings – carry this one instead of oxford handbook.
