Reviews

Now in its 10th edition, this is truly a superb resource for all things cardiovascular and seems to be breathtaking in its coverage. A lot of books can claim to be a one stop shop and though it does not claim to be-I guess this book should answer most queries from the basic to the sophisticated when dealing with a patient and their problems. There is a lot of good science within the text though undeniably, it is a clinical book; the basic science is relevant to a clinician and makes reading around a topic much more interesting and educational. [Epub] Dorfman and Czerniaks Bone Tumors – 2nd Edition (2016) by Bogdan Czerniak MD PhD

Ebook Info

  • Published: 2016
  • Number of pages:
  • Format: Epub
  • File Size: 569.5 MB
  • Authors: Bogdan Czerniak MD PhD

Description

The second edition of Dorfman and Czerniak’s Bone Tumors brings together the latest data available on bone tumor pathology, making it the most comprehensive and encyclopedic reference on the epidemiology, clinical, pathologic, and molecular aspects of bone tumors. Now offered in full color and featuring updated imaging throughout, this one-of-a-kind resource provides a highly visual review of every disorder ― from the common to the rare.

Reviews

Like the first edition, the second edition of Bone Tumors is a book for people who love bone pathology. Although there are a number of atlases and pattern-based approaches to bone pathology, as well as the canonical WHO Pathology and Genetics of Tumours of Soft Tissue and Bone, none of these references has the space to go into the depth that a true bone pathologist requires. Such references typically have only a few images, a bit of radiologic correlation and a thin differential diagnosis before the next entity is presented. While this may suffice in a busy private practice, where confirming straightforward entities and triaging specimens for outside consults are the goals, the pathologist who really wishes to appreciate the subtlety and nuances of bone pathology and who desires a deep understanding of the pathophysiology and clinical ramifications must read Dorfman and Czerniak’s Bone Tumors.
