Reviews

Excellent . As a physical therapist, I can’t stop opening this book as soon as I want to consider a specific structure in a treatment. As a teacher, students have to confront the iconographic representations from anatomy books and this book, and it’s just perfect.
The cadavers are maybe “too much” perfect (no fat, no anatomical variations…) comparing to real dissections, but that’s what we want from a book like this I guess. Just keep that in mind, you or your students.
The paper version comes with a studentconsult access which is totally great.
Can’t recommand it enough.

Reviews

This is by far the best Derm book I’ve seen. I’m personally a WHNP, so I think this book covers more of what I see in better detail than some of the others. I really like the care plans included for specific issues with multiple steps and algorithms covered. I have a few others that were recommended by dermatologists to me, but this one just fits my thinking and practice style better. Even if I think a pt problem may be something else, I can usually find the right diagnosis just by going to my initial differential and then nearby, I’ll find the correct diagnosis staring me in the face. This book is laid out well with realistic pictures, not worse-case-scenario. So many books give you the worst case they’ve ever seen, but this is more the typical case picture you’ll see. Really appreciate this book!

Description

This is the fifth edition of a very successful textbook on clinical trials methodology, written by recognized leaders who have long and extensive experience in all areas of clinical trials. The three authors of the first four editions have been joined by two others who add great expertise. Most chapters have been revised considerably from the fourth edition. A chapter on regulatory issues has been included and the chapter on data monitoring has been split into two and expanded. Many contemporary clinical trial examples have been added. There is much new material on adverse events, adherence, issues in analysis, electronic data, data sharing and international trials.

Reviews

Excellent book to get a better understanding regarding clinical trials. Well written. I just need to get a general understanding of what constitutes an acceptable trial so I am not sure how the information will work for someone actually conducting a trial though.

“This handbook is the quintessential resource for pediatric psychology. The editors have captured not only the vitality of the field, but also the depth and breadth of the science underlying effective interventions, highlighting key trends in training, research, and practice. Description

This case book will be based on real life scenarios of patient cases which have been encountered over several decades in one of the largest phototherapy centers in the United States. To our knowledge, there has not been anything similar published to date. By presenting various cases and how to manage such cases, we aim to educate dermatology trainees and practicing dermatologist who are trying to familiarize themselves with phototherapy. A recent study has shown that many dermatologists do not know how to administer phototherapy, and most graduating residents do not have adequate teaching and experience with administering phototherapy during their residencies. Therefore, the hope is that this book will fill a critical gap in the field of dermatology
