This atlas describes an array of tumors and diseases that affect the orbit and associated cranial nerves. Often lacking in radiology residency and fellowship training is teaching of the anatomy of the orbit and cranial nerves, as well as the imaging appearance of orbital tumors and diseases that affect these regions. This atlas fills this gap of knowledge with tumors and diseases encountered and treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center, providing a review of the imaging anatomy and the appearance of the tumors and diseases that should aid in formatting a differential diagnosis. The text consists of ten chapters divided into separate anatomic sections followed by an eleventh chapter describing the treated orbit and tumor recurrence. Each of the first ten chapters begins with a description of the relevant anatomy, labeled CT and MRI images and drawings to highlight important anatomic considerations. This is an ideal guide for practicing general radiologists, neuroradiologists and trainees, as well as ophthalmologists, head and neck surgeons, neurosurgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, and pathologists who interpret or review orbital images as part of their daily practice.

âFocussed mainly on tumors, but some information on benign eye diseases. Postoperative chapter is especially useful. Overall a worthwhile investment.

This is one of the first books to deal with imaging of pathology of the entire visual system. It is divided into two parts, general and special. In the general part, the most important basics of modern imaging methods are discussed, but with less emphasis on the physical background than in purely neuro-/radiological textbooks. Chapters are devoted to the meticulous presentation of imaging anatomy of the orbit and intracranial visual pathway. The latest knowledge on the indication, technique, and results of functional MR imaging is presented. Visual system impairment in the pediatric age group is also discussed. The special part of the book provides detailed descriptions of the symptoms and clinical and imaging findings in individual patients with orbital and intracranial pathologies. This book is specifically designed to be of value not only to neuroradiologists but also to ophthalmologists, neurosurgeons, oto-/rhino-laryngologists, and neurologists who require more detailed information on these special diseases.

These guidelines, compiled by a panel of clinicians and scientists with a high level of expertise, aim to provide readers with the most up-to-date and comprehensive instructions on the treatment and prevention of ocular inflammation. All of the recommendations are explicitly linked to supporting evidence and graded according to the strength of that evidence and the editors have made every effort to ensure that chapters are of a consistently high methodological quality. The guidelines for each treatment include dose and the frequency and mode of delivery. Significant side-effects of treatment are identified and distinguished from those of the disease in question. Suggestions are presented for the prevention both of the disease itself and of the treatment-related complications. In addition, likely future directions in treatment and prevention are identified. These guidelines will be of great practical value for all clinicians and clinical scientists with an interest in the subject.

Behçet’s Disease (BD) is one of the most-studied systemic disorders characterized by an occlusive vasculopathy of multiple organs. The etiology and pathogenesis of BD are still unclear, but there is evidence for genetic, immunologic and infectious factors in the onset and throughout the course of the disease. Immunology of Behçet’s Disease highlights various aspects of BD. After an epidemiological overview, the clinical presentation of ocular and non-ocular symptoms of BD are summarized. The immunopathological changes reflect a chronic vasculitis of arterioles, venules and capillaries. The role of T-cells, but also of NK-T-cells, secreted cytokines and neutrophils is covered. For years microorganisms have been under investigation as initiating BD and, in particular, immune reactions against various microbial heat shock proteins could be an important etiological factor. It has been shown that the pathogenic gene involved in the development of BD is pinpointed to HLA-B51. Finally, the treatment of BD is discussed in detail, including new options like anti-TNF-alpha-antibodies and interferon-alpha. Immunology of Behçet’s Disease summarizes our knowledge regarding the most important factors that induce or trigger BD and will stimulate research in the field and help to initiate new ideas.

âGood book to read and itâs easy to read.
âGet rid of your glasses! Leo has generously included all the exercises needed to improve most eye sight problems. A great read and while my eyesight is okay l’m already doing the exercises to make it even better and prevent so called ‘normal’ ageing!
âGood book with lots of research behind it. Since it has come out, people have noticed that eye improvement can be achieved much quicker with faster results than is stated in the book. It amounts to doing about ten minutes of eye exercises a day, and occasionally through out the day while thinking about it, like waiting for the light to change, or waiting for the train to pass or other minute gobblers.
âI met Leo at NLPU 2011 and he chatted with me about my sight. I am experiecing clouding of the posterior lens capsule, a side effect of cataract surgery. I am following his advice and noting positive changes in my sight. You will want to purchase this book if you are having any eye problems and experiment for yourself to experience the positive changes you can have.
âI was using this book and also watching some if the author’s videos on YouTube…and getting noticeable results. Then life happened and I got out of the routine. I will pick it up again soon because I am convinced this process works, but consistent practice is essential, and that has been my trouble. I think a belief in the body’s (or God’s) ability to heal is important also. Many conditions considered by “modern medicine” to be chronic or permanent are not. Medicine is not at a high state of development, in my opinion, but rather in its infancy. The body’s ability to adapt and heal is underestimated.
âThis is excellent book and is must have if you want to keep your eye health and vision for as long as possible!
âThe book provides practical information and is very well-written. In addition, it provides a scientific basis for claims. which is a huge plus.
âWhen I first read about Leo Angart’s experience I was very excited and bought this book right away. I had been off my glasses for 4 month prior to buying this book, and I had been searching extensively about eyesight natural healing. I have read Jacod Liberman’s book which was pretty awesome. That’s when I first learn that vision is in the mind, and that sudden healing is very possible. What Liberman proposed is ‘open focus’, I guess it’s about let go and relax your eyes while seeing. I also bought DVDs by Meir Schneider who was genetically blind but regained his vision. This is a perfect example that eyesight does not entirely depend on the structure of the eyes, that the mind has a determining factor. I also studied Martin Sussman’s work. All these methods are based on the Bate’s method. I had trouble committing to the exercises though. The fact that Leo Angart recovered his vision so fast is very appealing to me. He mentioned hypnosis, NLP, and pranic healing. I’m personally very interested in the first two, and am excited to learn about what pranic healing is. In fact Martin Sussman’s audio product contains some hypnosis element. What drew me to this book reviewing here is the pranic healing of eyesight. However, this book did not mention pranic healing and how to use it for vision recovery. The only useful part for me is the eye exercise part. However, I was expect pranic healing, I was disappointed to find out that this eye exercise part is really short and the pictures are highly cartoonized that you cannot tell details of where the massages are being done. With the description though, it’s not hard to find out that many of the massaged areas are meridian (çťçť) based in Chinese culture. I am a Chinese American and I grew up in Chinese. These massage points are very well-known in China; I did not see it helping people improve vision as dramatic as Leo claimed.Having that said, I do believe his experience and how it is possible to suddenly regain vision. I still feel there are other elements in the healing process. Sometimes I think perhaps I did not dwell enough on the mind-vision relationship to a point of sudden recovery. Anyways, it seems a long journey towards eye healing. I do can relax my eyes throughout the day now. I just feel hypnosis should be able to accomplish this rapidly; the issue might be an effective script…
âVery effective methods for improving your eyesight.
âWorks.
âI have yet to read the book. Was recommended. Hence content and effectiveness I will not commend. However, receiving it alone was such a disappointment. I believed it was duplicated and to know that it was allowed to be sold in Amazon is disappointing. The cover alone is a give away. The green tab on the cover is a give away that it was not original. Also the paper quality is lousy.
âWhen the optometrist wanted to increase my prescription for a full diopter I was desperate. I couldn’t accept that there’s no other solution and finally found this book. It has good information but even better exercises. Within three months the optometrist could measure the improvement. This was a few years back and since then my prescription stayed stable except for one change: no astigmatism any more. Considering that most of my awake time I’m in front of a computer I consider this a great achievement already. If I was doing the exercises more regularly I’m sure it would be even better. Maybe during my next vacation, no that I know it is possible đ
âIt is a very well written book and covers several methods on natural eyesight improvement, and concepts are well explained. I have purchased several books in this area, and from the practice point of view and compilation of options, this is one of the best ones so far. Book includes the method – how the assess your eyesight, thus, after assessment, one is able to monitor your own progress at home. There is a reference to the webpage with the supporting files on tools that should be used when exercising and assessing your eyesight. Also, I like that the author refers – where he learns about the particular method and gives a credit to the ‘original source’.Yes, in my opinion, it is a very good book.Unfortunately, just reading the book does not improve the eyesight … one needs to find a way to change your lifestyle and incorporate these practices in daily life which is the most difficult part of this journey. :)))

âInformation given in detail ! I.B Singh is a legend himself . Recommend to students who are trying to understand neuroanatomy from the beginning. Iâd still advice that for neuro- you make sure you Atleast know the bones of the skull when you start neuroanatomy – for example regions – so when the book tries to put a reference in 1st year – you donât struggle with regions and depressions . Good luck nerds
âHo acquistato questo libro per mia cugina, è rimasta molto contenta, le pagine sono ottime e i contenuti e le immagini sono davvero splendide…grazie mille per tutto e per la disponibilitĂ .

âThe book is amazing with good illustrations and simple language. But I had a bad experience while buying this book. The product is delivered the day after it was shown ‘delivered’ in the app. It’s not a fault of Amazon, the delivery boy did it himself. And, though the packaging was good, the product is a little bit damaged.
âGood
