⭐In almost all eye programs they will praise Wills Eye Manual as the Holy Grail manual for learning Ocular Diseases. They’re wrong. I have one and it’s in a box. The second I saw this in a classmate’s hands, I needed it.The best part about this book is the fact that there are tons and tons of pictures in it. Most people are visual learners, so when you describe a condition, they may understand it, but if you see it in a picture, they GET IT. This book has tons of images to help solidify the conditions in your brain. It also gives you the differential diagnoses, potential genetic associations, treatments, surgeries, etc. Also included is Expert Consult. This is where your money gets stretched the most. I almost never carry my physical textbook with me since I have the book on an app in Inkling on my phone and iPad, and can access it anywhere online with a login. Best on this is the search feature which doesn’t work in a physical textbook obviously. This makes it like 3 books in one. #worthit. This is the best comprehensive atlas of the eye from front to back that you can get. There are other guides out there to help dive deeper into other structures or topics in more detail, but for a first year ophthalmology resident starting out or an optometrist or student, it’s the best you’ll find.

⭐This is a great book – I’m using it for NBEO part 2 studying and to have as a reference in clinic and while I work. I had the Will’s Eye Manual but I found this was a lot easier to read and look for certain diseases. The pictures are great! Definitely recommend for an optometry student, optometrist or an ophthalmologist!

⭐excellent summary of ophthalmology. Any student of ophthalmology who can recite the contents of this brief book on ophthalmology from memory is ready for the American board exam. Any practitioner who knows this slim book inside out should be able to avoid all gross errors in diagnosis.

⭐This book is packed with information and, more importantly, color photos. For the amount of content offered, I felt like the price was fair as far as textbooks go.

⭐Loved the illustrations and organization of this book. The online resource let’s me read when I have downtime on my phone or computer and is so useful

⭐Excellent resource material. Pictures are the best part, but it is a very complete reference book that contains more entries than other well-known titles.

⭐Really helpful reference book with good quality pictures.

⭐Great reference book for any optometrist or ophthalmologist! Also really great for any students studying for the national board exam.

⭐Good, but weak on drug therapies

⭐Excelente libro para consulta rápida y de tamaño “compacto”. Es muy bueno para complementar la preparación al presentar para un examen.

⭐well done

⭐The single best ophthalmic resource out there.

⭐The book is very readable, with a lot of space to write in your own notes. Really good to use as an annotation guide as you work through UWorld. Also good to supplement with First Aid for Step 2 CK.

⭐This is the single best book for step 2 CK period. Every concept in this book and every side note is literally what step 2 CK tests on. The diagrams and everything this book says is highest yield. This book is the gold standard. It explains every disease process with a easy to understand explanations, diagrams and pictures that brings the whole topic together. The treatment for each disease or “what’s the next best step in management” type questions, you will not find a better book than this. This book is current, it’s updated annually, this is what you will practice clinically during your rotation and as a doctor. Get this book if you are writing step 2 CK!!!

⭐Book came in great condition without bending or writing. I love that there is a ton of space in the margins to add my own notes. The practice questions are helpful and the layout is easy to follow. Definitely not all-inclusive of what could be in STEP2 CK but has the major pearls and topics you need.

⭐Currently using with other resources (Qbanks, OME) to prepare for my monthly COMATs (DO’s shelf exams) and also Level 2/Step 2 in the summer. So far pretty comprehensive. Gives a brief overview of what to look for in a patient. Doesn’t go too into detail of pathophys but does remind you of some things. Organized nicely to give brief description, diagnostics, and treatment of each disorder with important things bolded or boxed in the margins. Nice pictures included. ONLY ISSUE is the typos/not updated index. Missing commas, repeated sentences, sometimes repeated paragraphs (pg. 226 at the top for example) … not totally awful and I can manage but someone should probably reconsider their job as a proofreader

⭐I love the layout of this book.I felt as if I was in a classroom being thought then given a test after learning a concept. The book has key tips and case scenarios to test and strengthen retention of key concepts.Author creates an environment conducive to learning. This is my go to book along with UWorld question bank.

⭐Does a good job at breaking down best testing and treatments for the common pathologies seen on the test. It lacks in detail compared to step up to medicine in terms of pathophysiology, but is good to review key steps to working up and treating heavily tested pathologies.

⭐Everything I need for my exams!

⭐like brand new. Thank you!

⭐Came in perfect condition, useful for step2 and shelf studying for med school

⭐This is a good complementary source for the Step 2 CK.

⭐The books goes on with such an orderly rhythm for all the disorders. They are subdivided into the majors, with disorders in each system described as presentaion, diagnosis, and then management.I personally like this layout, it’s on point, clear, and causes less confusion.

⭐Very lucid and detailed

⭐It is a must to have .

⭐An excellent overview of commonly performed periorbital procedures. Well written with excellent photos and illustrations. I read it from cover to cover and will use it as a reference.
