Part of the “What Do I Do Now?” series, Neuro-Ophthalmology uses a case-based approach to cover common and important topics in the examination, investigation, and management of afferent visual, efferent eye movement, eyelid, pupil, and orbital disorders. Each chapter provides a discussion of the diagnosis, key points to remember, and selected references for further reading. For this new edition, all cases and references have been updated and new cases have been added, including neuroretinitis, autosomal dominant optic atrophy, carotid-cavernous fistula, and more. Neuro-Ophthalmology is an engaging collection of thought-provoking cases which clinicians can utilize when they encounter difficult patients. The volume is also a self-assessment tool that tests the reader’s ability to answer the question, “What do I do now?”

⭐Neuro-ophthalmology illustrated is a must-have for anyone who cares for patients with ophthalmic or neurological disorders. Not only do I keep a copy of the book in my clinic, but as a faculty in neuro-ophthalmology, I recommend it to my trainees for several reasons. The book is organized into Chapters and sections that cover practically every aspect from history taking, examination, radiological features and management. It is concise, easy to read and has high quality illustrations on virtually every page. A picture as they say is worth a thousand words and to a trainee, visual representation of a clinical sign or radiological finding is easier to comprehend than a description of it. The book is compact and can easily fit in a coat pocket, ready to be referenced at the beside when needed. In summary, this book will be useful for trainees or experienced practitioners (neurology, ophthalmology, optometry or family practice), and dare I say, a steal for the price quoted.

⭐Very good book in neuro-ophthalmology but a little basic for my needs. Recommended for all general ophthalmologists.

⭐This is a fantastic resource for anyone managing patients with neuro-ophthalmic diseases, or anyone interested in clinical Neuro-Ophthalmology. It is filled with illustrations, and all of the figures and tables are very user-friendly while still being comprehensive. There are also ample neuroimaging figures demonstrate classic and rare conditions. The authors have included numerous “Clinical Pearls” throughout the book, distilling the key points of each section. This book has utility for neurologists, ophthalmologists, residents, and medical students. As an added bonus, it is portable, and can be carried around in clinic or on rounds.

⭐This is my favorite go-to neuro-ophthalmology reference! The text is concise and easy to read. The illustrations are of high quality and add a dimension of clarity that I have not found in any other book. It is great as a desktop reference, but also compact enough for residents and students to keep with them during a neuro-ophthalmology rotation. I have no doubt ophthalmologists and neurologists in practice will also find it useful as a quick and authoritative reference.

⭐This book is an amazing resource for all levels – from patients to doctors in training to doctors already practicing in the field. It is unparalleled in the extent and quality of illustrative pictures, which are so essential to understanding the topic. The authors are clearly masters of their topic and expertly present complicated subjects in a way that makes them easy to understand. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

⭐Neuro-Ophthalmology Illustrated is THE concise guide for evaluation and management of neuro-ophthalmology patients. It is comprehensive enough to cover nearly all situations, but it still provides the essential details in a paperback that can fit in your white coat pocket! I highly recommend this book to all ophthalmology and neurology residents, fellows, and attendings, as an essential book in their “go-to” library.

⭐Neuro-ophthalmology can be a tough subject to write about. Some handbooks out there either don’t give you enough information or provide you with so much information and leave you a bit confused. “Neuro-ophthalmology Illustrated” is well-written, thoughtfully organized, and the the illustrations are extremely helpful. This handbook is a must have for neuro-ophthalmologists, ophthalmologists, and neurologists…both in training and in practice.

⭐This is absolutely the best compact neuro-ophthalmology resource available. It is jam packed with beautiful illustrations and pearls from two clinical masters of neuro-ophthalmology. Medical students, residents, neurologists, ophthalmologists, emergency department physicians, and primary care doctors would all find this to be an extremely accessible and accurate resource when faced with a patient presenting with a neuro-ophthalmologic issue.

⭐Livro de bolso muito bom. Fåcil de ler e com ótimas ilustraçÔes. Aborda diversos temas de maneira råpida e pratica.

⭐This book met my expectations, nicely done with very useful pictures. A must-have for both the neuro-ophthalmologists and the general ophthalmologists!

The text covers major clinical problems and defines an inclusive, yet relatively brief, list of causes that can produce each problem. Description

More than 30 years ago, Neuro-Ophthalmology Review Manual, presented a unique and user-friendly approach to address clinical neuro-ophthalmology principles used in everyday practice. The new Seventh Edition continues that tradition, providing a timely update, while also maintaining the same user-friendly and concise format.

Lanning B. Kline, MD and Rod Foroozan, MD are joined by seven contributors on this Seventh Edition who have organized the book to provide the essential key information on neuro-ophthalmic disorders. The inclusion of over 130 illustrations and 29 tables allows for a user-friendly format and quick access to valuable information.

The Seventh Edition provides a timely and comprehensive update to the current information, effective exercises, and case studies, as well as the addition of a chapter on neuroimaging.

Neuro-Ophthalmology Review Manual, Seventh Edition is a succinct text for all practitioners and residents in ophthalmology, neurology, and neurosurgery. A popular choice among colleagues for more than 30 years, this a must have resource in neuro-ophthalmology

Reviews from the past edition:
“For the doctor who sees the occasional neuro-ophthalmology patient, this book should be an excellent resource. Residents should read this book, because they can learn the subject material. The book could also be an excellent resource on a general practitioner’s shelf, because it is concise and easy to use.”
-William V. Good, Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, San Francisco, California, Optometry and Vision Science

“Overall, this is a very good introductory textbook for residents in ophthalmology and neurology and can be used as a quick reference book by practitioners in either discipline. It is still the best-sized review book available on the topic for residents preparing for their in-training exams and will continue to be a popular choice for this purpose.”
-Nurhan Torun, MD, FRCSC, Canadian Journal of Ophthalomogy
