⭐readable and clear as far as it goes; leaves out some important issues that should be included, about topics it purports to cover

⭐Students entering the healthcare professions today get minimal if any exposure to ophthalmology in spite of the fact that the eye is the target of many specific maladies as well as systemic diseases of major importance, such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. For this reason, I highly recommend that generalist healthcare providers have a copy of this excellent manual close by. It provides a comprehensive guide to the eye–how to examine it, diagnose and treat its minor problems, and how to decide when referral to an ophthalmologist is indicated. The numerous photographs and illustrations compliment the clearly written text giving the reader confidence that he or she can effectively and safely treat conditions of this vital organ.

⭐This product is well deserving of 5*, but I can’t give it 5 unfortunately. If you’re studying for the Duke Elder this book is neat, well summarised, and covers everything in detail. HOWEVER, the book advertises that it is “full colour”, but it’s black and white. This leads to some really poor fundoscopy images when printed. The Duke Elder exam has a lot of images in its questions, and unfortunately this book won’t help you visualise any condition on that front. If they resolve this, then 5*. However, the printers have really let the people who made this book down!

⭐Described as “Full colour” but the only part in colour is the the book cover. The diagrams are in black and white making it much more difficult to understand what is being described. The content itself is good but it is being missold as full colour.
