Description

This study investigates the role of the lung ultrasound (LUS) score in the decision for the closure of hemodynamically insignificant Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) in preterm neonates. The research compared LUS scores across different groups (significant PDA, insignificant PDA with and without closure therapy, and no PDA). Results indicated that LUS scores in patients with hemodynamically insignificant PDA treated with closure therapy were similar to those with hemodynamically significant PDA, suggesting LUS scores can play a role in guiding PDA management.
