Description

A prospective, randomized, controlled pilot trial (RaScaL) investigating the effectiveness and durability of combination therapy (Ranibizumab + angiography-directed peripheral scatter laser) versus standard treatments for diabetic macular edema (DME) associated specifically with peripheral capillary nonperfusion. The study hypothesizes that targeting ischemic retina will reduce VEGF production and lower recurrence rates, offering an effective and durable therapy.
