This article discusses intraCOR (intrastromal correction of presbyopia), a novel, noninvasive femtosecond laser technique that focuses treatment directly into the stroma without requiring a corneal cut or epithelial removal. The procedure is quick, maintains corneal structural integrity, and promotes rapid wound healing. Initial study results (including data from the University of Heidelberg) for 25 patients showed stable outcomes and improvement in near visual acuity at 3 months post-operation.
