Description

This retrospective cohort study aimed to assess the utility of maternal C-reactive protein (CRP) and leukocyte levels in predicting early-onset neonatal sepsis following preterm premature rupture of membranes (pPROM). The study found that while these markers correlated significantly with infection, their predictive values were generally low, concluding they were ineffective as a tool for clinical decision-making in this context.
