Description

This systematic review and meta-analysis estimates the prevalence of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) among infants (aged 0–12 months). The study included 65 studies involving over 3.4 million infants. The pooled prevalence of DDH was 1.40%, with prevalence for dysplasia, subluxation, and dislocation calculated separately. Findings indicate that girls have a higher risk of DDH than boys (1.46% vs 0.66%).
