Systematic review focusing on the current understanding, knowledge, and evidence gathered via meta-analysis on two modes of non-invasive ventilation (NIV)—Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Nasal Intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation (NIPPV)—in preterm infants. It evaluates their use as primary intent respiratory support post-birth or following extubation to minimize the risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in extremely low gestational age neonates (ELGANs).
