Congenital hyperinsulinism comprises a group of diseases characterized by a persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia. The severity and duration of hypoglycemic episodes, primarily in the neonatal period, can lead to neurological impairment. This article aims to provide an overview of new available technologies, such as continuous glucose monitoring systems, and new discoveries, and their potential impact on clinical practice, diagnosis, prevention, and follow-up of patients with CHI.
