Description

This study describes and evaluates a technique using microwave energy to reduce the duration and laboriousness of the Gomori’s methanamine silver impregnation technique (a highly reliable method for detecting fungal filaments). The goal is to provide a faster, archivable method for diagnosing fungal keratitis in corneal scrapings, comparing its utility to standard microbiological stains.
