Description

A systematic review and meta-analysis assessing the impact of mother and infant skin-to-skin contact (SSC) after birth on the incidence of neonatal hypoglycaemia. The review included 108 studies (84,900 participants) and concluded that SSC may result in a large reduction in the incidence of neonatal hypoglycaemia, supporting this practice for all infants and especially those at risk.
