This document updates the guidelines for Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography (TNE) and Cardiac Point-of-Care Ultrasound (cPOCUS) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). It provides guidance on the purpose and rationale for both TNE and cPOCUS, outlines standard components of evaluation, lists disease and/or clinical scenario–based indications (including PDA and pulmonary hypertension), and specifies training and competency-based evaluative requirements for practitioners.
