This article assesses the outcome of changing the horizontal-offset dimension and the effect of different healing abutments (flared vs. straight) on the marginal peri-implant soft tissues and crestal bone. The study utilized two-piece dental implants placed subcrestally in five beagle dogs, using micro-CT analysis to compare three investigational groups (3.5N, 4.5N, and 3.5W).
