Root canal curvature and calcification introduce factors that increase the risk of procedural accidents during root canal treatment. The inability to achieve patency to the apical third, asymmetrical dentine removal leading to transportation, perforation, and instrument fracture inside the curved trajectories are some of the procedural problems that might jeopardize the management of intraradicular infection and result in poor treatment outcomes. In fact, curved and constricted canals introduce such complexity that total instrumentation concepts and specially designed instruments have been developed to deal with the challenge. This narrative review seeks to provide and consolidate the principles necessary for understanding the dynamics of curved and constricted canal management and to improve the understanding for future developments in this field.

This book covers basic scientific and clinically relevant aspects of dental composites for direct restorations, addressing the needs of researchers and practitioners. It discusses topics such as material development, composition, curing reactions, monomer conversion, properties of new formulations, classification criteria, esthetics, biological potential, bonding to tooth tissues, polymerization shrinkage stress, secondary caries, repair, and longevity of composite restorations.
This textbook, following the successful Duale Reihe concept, provides essential exam knowledge for medical students and foundational knowledge for young assistants in Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Pain Therapy. The current edition features updated General Anesthesia, a new section on Specific Anesthesia tailored to various operative disciplines, expanded coverage of Intensive and Emergency Medicine (including diagnosis, therapy, and non-resuscitation procedures), and a newly structured chapter on acute and chronic pain therapy.
A comprehensive resource detailing the specialized care and management protocols for patients in the perioperative phase of orthopedic surgery, integrating perspectives from medicine, anesthesiology, and orthopedic surgery.
This article summarizes the clinical features, diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis, pathogenesis, prognosis, and current and future diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). GBS is an acute, inflammatory, immune-mediated polyradiculoneuropathy and among the most frequent life-threatening neuromuscular emergencies, encompassing various clinical variants and pathogenic mechanisms.
This book focuses on the evaluation of skin permeation and skin disposition of active ingredients found in cosmeceuticals and therapeutic drugs used in topical and transdermal delivery systems. It addresses the crucial aspects of assessing effectiveness and safety, highlighting the importance of developing alternatives to animal experiments in this field.
Discussion of the use of laboratory tests in the investigation and management of common diseases, and basic biochemical and pathological principles underlying the application of laboratory tests. The book is primarily aimed at the curricula of undergraduate students of pathology.
A comprehensive reference detailing the assessment, monitoring, and therapeutic interventions for life-threatening neurological emergencies, including stroke, hemorrhage, status epilepticus, and severe traumatic brain injury.
A focused review and preparation guide for the NEET examination covering essential concepts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, aiming to help students quickly brush up on basic knowledge and combat confusion.
