I am an RT student and this was one of our required texts. We were the first class to have this book inflicted on us. Numerous mistakes have been found, by the students! Some of the answers to the review questions at the end of each chapter are nowhere to be found. We are all having a book burning party at the end of the semester. (That is not a joke) Please do not subject yourself to this book! Egans rules!

This book is very well written and has detailed descriptions of many different surgical procedures that I am introducing into my practice. I was very fortunate to also attend Dr Goodman’s course. I read the book prior to attending the course, and I felt very well prepared to soak up all of Dr Goodman’s technique and knowledge.

I am not very good at math, but this book has helped me during Nursing School. It has step by step rules on how to do dosage calculations to administer medications. It is so straight forward that I was able to pick it up and complete the practice questions without giving up like I used to do with math. I have a math test every semester, so I like to go back to the practice questions right before. It has helped me pass all my dosage tests.

Reviews

If you are planning to take or are starting college level Anatomy, this book is amazing and was one of the reasons I got a good grade in Lab practicals. Most professors give a lab manual lacking visuals and just give instructions for dissections, with this Atlas I had tremendous help visualizing the instructions and help memorizing the body parts on the cat like the muscles and bones. ALSO, a great way to study when you are not in lab because it labels everything like the models of the organs. MUST BUY !!!!!
