Description

It’s a great book and you definitely need to know what’s on there but it isn’t as high yield as it used to be (for obvious reasons). I like the humor in the book but I know some people could care less for it. The book is lacking an index so it can make searching up things more difficult. There are not a lot of images, mainly text. Because of that, you’ll need to go to the web to find the images. There are some things that are emphasized and may or may not show up, take it with a grain of salt. The binding is alright. With expected heavy use, the binding came come apart. The revised edition will be coming out Oct 2018.

[PDF] Atlas of Dermatopathology: Practical Differential Diagnosis by Clinicopathologic Pattern (2015) by Gunter Burg and Werner Kempf

Ebook Info

  • Published: 2015
  • Number of pages:
  • Format: PDF
  • File Size: 35.47 MB
  • Authors: Gunter Burg and Werner Kempf

Description

The most efficient method in the diagnosis of skin diseases is the combined validation of clinical and histopathological features. The results of biopsy investigation in isolation don’t always yield answers. But when considered together, the clinical pattern and the histopathology, then diagnosis can become clearer. In this process the diagnostic impact of histopathology may be decisive or just confirmative to the clinical differential diagnosis. The structure of the book follows a basic approach to morphology, which is overall orientation at scanning magnification first, then identifying a prototypic pattern, and finally finding the essential diagnostic clue(s) under high power magnification.

Reviews

Although this book is by no means a complete anatomy book, it is a great supplement for anyone who is in the diagnostic imaging field who would like to either learn more about the images they are looking at or just wants to brush up on some anatomy in a way that is both useful and relevant to their field.

[PDF] Atlas of Diffuse Lung Diseases: A Multidisciplinary Approach (2016) by Giorgia Dalpiaz and Alessandra Cancellieri

Ebook Info

  • Published: 2016
  • Number of pages:
  • Format: PDF
  • File Size: 35.81 MB
  • Authors: Giorgia Dalpiaz and Alessandra Cancellieri

Description

This atlas is designed as an easy-to-use reference guide that identifies and illustrates the key patterns of diffuse lung diseases observed on high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) and then documents in more detail the characteristics and appearances of the individual diseases, grouped on the basis of their prevalent pattern. A further feature of the book is its interdisciplinary nature: contributions from experts in various specialties are tightly interwoven throughout and many pathologic correlations are included. Less experienced readers will find that this atlas, with its wealth of figures and helpful color coding, steers them towards correct interpretation when confronted by the multiplicity and complexity of these diseases; those who are already experts, on the other hand, will benefit from the detailed coverage of individual diseases, which will deepen their understanding. At the end of the book, a graphically appealing and practice-oriented illustrated glossary with tips and tricks offers a further highly effective educational tool. Given the clinical spectrum of diseases covered, this atlas will prove invaluable for a wide range of healthcare workers, especially radiologists, pulmonologists, and pathologists.

Reviews

It’s a book as advertised! This an extremely detailed and in-depth book. Definitely for use as a reference text. I wish I had more time to read it, but being in PA school doesn’t allow for much of anything besides reading everything else.
