Description

The mammalian genome is constantly challenged by exogenous and endogenous threats. Although much is known about the mechanisms that maintain genome integrity, little is known about the applications of this knowledge to combat human disease. The past 20 years has witnessed extensive research and progress in this area and scientists started to design new therapies harnessing individual genetic differences among patients to combat degenerative disorders and cancer. We summarize these advancements and discuss perspectives for the future of personalized medicine.

Description

Larsen and Buss’s Personality Psychology is based on a framework of six important domains of knowledge about personality functioning. These six domains are the dispositional domain (traits, trait taxonomies, and personality dispositions over time), the biological domain (physiology, genetics, evolution), the intrapsychic domain (psychodynamics, motives), the cognitive/experiential domain (cognition, emotion, and the self), the social and cultural domain (social interaction, gender, and culture), and the adjustment domain (stress, coping, health, and personality disorders). This book is based on the notion that these domains of knowledge represent the organizing structure of contemporary personality psychology.

Love these cards. I’m a first year nursing student and these cards were a great buy for me. I worried there wasn’t enough of the info on the cards but after using them along with my current year drug book I feel like these have pulled what you need to know about each drug and put it on a great little card. When we are working with a group of meds I pull the ones I need and clip them together for quick reference. Would buy again and all my classmates have been asking where I got them

This is one of the worst textbooks I have ever had thus far. The answers to multiple questions are wrong, Some of the conversions are wrong. I would highly recommend choosing a different book to learn pharmaceutical calculations.

Description

Each year the pharmaceutical industry worldwide recruits thousands of recent science graduates—especially chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmacy, and pharmaceutical majors—into its ranks. However, because of their limited background in pharmaceutical analysis most of those new recruits find making the transition from academia to industry very difficult. Designed to assist both recent graduates, as well as experienced chemists or scientists with limited regulatory, compendial or pharmaceutical analysis background, make that transition, Pharmaceutical Analysis for Small Molecules is a concise, yet comprehensive introduction to the drug development process and analysis of chemically synthesized, small molecule drugs. It features contributions by distinguished experts in the field, including editor and author, Dr. Behnam Davani, an analytical chemist with decades of technical management and teaching experience in compendial, regulatory, and industry.
