This comprehensive, two-volume resource highlights the practical aspects of the pathology of biopsies and gross specimens, the clinical/pathological correlation, and differential diagnoses, and the ways in which these affect the management of patients with gastrointestinal disorders. The authors provide valuable insights on many important areas of gastrointestinal pathology, and openly address controversies within the specialty. This all-inclusive work stands alone in its illustrative quality and in its emphasis on the clinical implications of patient management as related to pathologic findings.

Stay up to date with the rapidly changing field of medical sonography! Heavily illustrated and extensively updated to reflect the latest developments in the field, Textbook of Diagnostic Sonography, 7th Edition equips you with an in-depth understanding of general/abdominal and obstetric/gynecologic sonography, the two primary divisions of sonography, as well as vascular sonography and echocardiography. Each chapter includes patient history, normal anatomy (including cross-sectional anatomy), ultrasound techniques, pathology, and related laboratory findings, giving you comprehensive insight drawn from the most current, complete information available.
The chapters are somewhat long and drawn out, but it has what you need to know. The most irritating thing is that the words that are describing a picture are sometimes a page or two or three behind the page with the picture. That drives me crazy. I have also found some typos in it. For as expensive as it was, I do not like lots of mistakes. I do like the that it has a workbook that goes along with it.

Frank R. Noyes, MD – internationally-renowned knee surgeon and orthopaedic sports medicine specialist – presents this unparalleled resource on the diagnosis, management, and outcomes analysis for the full range of complex knee disorders.
This is an excellent, comprehensive text. It provides many evidence based exercises to go along with surgical procedures. This is a must have for an allied health professional.

What I didn’t like so much: with a publication date of 2014, I would have expected it to be more up to date on hotly researched areas of study than it was (a very few topics were woefully outdated by many years, not months). While I recognize our understanding of disease processes are changing daily, mearly mentioning that a topic is evolving rapidly (epigenetics, for instance) would have gone far in making this text better able to stand up to time, almost helping to excuse any outdated material, if that makes sense. At the very least, it would have served well to provide cues that a current literature search may be warranted. Elsevier’s Evolve was a little disappointing, too… Chapter reviews were exactly those found at the end of the chapters in the book, no more, no less and often lacked pertinent material needed for study; only the chapter “high points”, I guess you could say. These reviews were downloadable in a Word document, though, so personal alterations to add content as needed for study was a simple enough matter. That’s a plus. Occasionally, there were some good graphics to aid in understanding, but not every Evolve chapter offered them. Honestly, I got more from watching YouTube for clarification on some topics (reputable sources, such as universities and disease foundations, of course). Evolve, does offer practice quizzes, but they were painfully short and didn’t cover all the material one should expect from an instructor’s quizzes or tests (again, only the high points). All in all, though, it’s a decent text given the content; and the layout was perfect for my style of learning and study habits. I’ll be hanging on to this one for future reference.

This one-of-a-kind book is unique in its side-by-side presentation of actual, high-quality diagnostic CT and MR scans and detailed line drawings of anatomy. Its concise and clearly written text is closely correlated to more than 800 images and line drawings, providing a comprehensive yet easy-to-understand sectional anatomy resource. The practitioners to relate and apply what they learn to the clinical setting.
I passed my CT registry. The pictures are very clear and this book is the best for sectional anatomy. I studied from this book and the Mosby book and passed my test with no problem. Most people may think this book has too much info, but it has a lot of useful information and you will not be disappointed.

This is definitely a must have for a trainee of Plastic Surgery who are interested in aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Plastic Surgeon.

Sobotta – Atlas of Human Anatomy with online access to e-sobotta.com: the exam atlas for understanding, learning, and training anatomy The English-language Sobotta Atlas with Latin nomenclature is specifically adapted to the needs of preclinical medical students. Right from the start, the book and the Internet content concentrate on exam-relevant knowledge. The new study concept simplifies learning-understanding-training: Descriptive legends help the student identify the most important features in the figures. Clinical examples present anatomical details in a wider context. All illustrations have been optimized, and the lettering reduced to a minimum. An additional booklet containing 100 tables on muscles and nerves supports systematic study.
Excellent atlas.

The Twelfth Edition ofTortora, Funke, and Case’s Microbiology: An Introductionfocuses on big picture concepts and themes in microbiology, encouraging students to visualize and synthesize tough topics such as microbial metabolism, immunology, and microbial genetics. The text and accompanying resources also help students make connections between microbiology theory and disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
Not impressed at all. The spine was extreamly beat up and 2 inches of the bottom was ripped off. I literally unwrapped the book and opened the cover and what little was holding the cover to the pages split off. Then a month in or so when i couldn’t avoid it and actually had to read a chapter, the pages that were attached to whatever was left of the brittle seperated spine started coming off. I actually had to fix the book myself just for the 4 times I couldn’t avoid using it. I had to use clear packing tape to make sure the front cover wouldn’t remove itself from the back one, and I just ordered Books by hand PVA non acidic glue to try to attempt to put the spine back together. All in all I spent more money fixing the book then renting it.
