The layout of the book makes it a good resource for revision as the chapters are very clearly set out so that it is easy to dip into the book when revising a particular topic. The figures used as very effective as many of them are laid out in table format such as `How to write an ethics essay’ and `Comparisons of ethical theories’. The tables are easy to remember and complement the information included in the bulk of the text.

I’m using these for class, since I’m not set to take the USMLE for another couple years, and it’s useful. Everything is very simplified, great for when you have to read before class but are short on time (always!)

A crash course in metabolism and nutrition, what a very novel idea! I see it is designed with the medical student in mind i.e a trainee or junior doctor, wanting to expend their knowledge in the field. As a well rounded knowledgable person on the subject of nutrition and human metabolic processes, there are some terms I am familiar with from ny student days when I had to learn about these complex biological concepts at A level! Nonetheless, i shall be having a go at it in due course to see if I can be on a par with the medics out there. Also, a very reasonable price, as most medical textbooks are well over 100 pounds a copy!

I like the content of the book, wish figures were in color. I am not sure if this book is supposed to be in color. Mine is black and white book, page 33 Figure 2.15 says that figures should have colors. I am not sure if I received a fake copy that is a copy of original book? Let me know if any of you have colored figures in the book??
