Description

The foot has a special place in musculoskeletal diagnosis due to its complex anatomy and because many similar symptoms can have different causes, each requiring a different approach to treatment. The evaluation of foot disorders and diseases requires close clinical–radiological correlation and communication with foot experts. Foot disorders and injuries increase with age, due in part to the rising popularity of recreational sports in all age groups. Diagnostic Imaging of the Foot and Ankle will help you train your eye to recognize disorders and diseases of the foot and ankle, including those that are often misdiagnosed or overlooked.

If you are looking for easy reading this is not it. The information is there, however, it is NOT at all at a glance. You have to be a scientist to understand a lot of it. If you are a student and doing a research paper, save your money and buy something easier to understand.

Basic grammars aren’t correct, so it causes confusion to me. There sometimes aren’t apostrophies in where they are needed to be to seperate phrase, so it’s hard to understand. I wouldn’t buy it if I could read it before buying it.

Generally very good high level overview but some surprising errors perpetuating myths in the “did you know” section that are stated without reference.

This useful resource for practicing nurses and nursing students provides a highly visual approach to mastering important clinical concepts and techniques. Using illustrations and photographs, wave forms, diagrams, and more creative visual learning methods to demonstrate hands-on treatments and explain disease pathophysiology. Concise, step-by-step instructions explain how to perform treatments with confidence.

Reviews

This was a great review for the physical diagnosis nbme! The book is easy to use. The questions are not hard to get through in two or three days, and in the explanations, key terms are in bold, which makes it easy to skim the information and focus on the things one does not know yet. Most importantly, the knowledge gained from doing all of the questions is sufficient to do well on the test. Several questions on the real test were almost exactly the same as the ones in this book.
