Description

Uveitis comprises a group of intraocular diseases that poses a diagnostic challenge to the ophthalmologists of all subspecialties, including uveitis specialists. The morphological expression of the diseases may be characteristic at times, but it is challenging to detect and recognize subtle clinical clues that might indicate towards a particular etiology: infectious, non-infectious or masquerade. Ancillary investigations including fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, auto fluorescence imaging, ultrasound, ultrasound biomicroscopy, laser flaremeter and optical coherence tomography play a crucial role in reaching a specific diagnosis and require proper interpretation in context of each disease variety. In addition, the radiological imaging, systemic work-up and laboratory investigations aid in establishing the diagnosis. This is a first comprehensive atlas that compiles these varied findings in each type of uveitis. It describes all uveitic entities employing the aid of slit lamp and anterior segment photographs, fundus photographs, ancillary investigations where applicable and relevant laboratory and radiologic investigations. The case-based format sets out the context clearly to match the diagnostic findings with the treatment plan. Covered in 136 chapters and more than 1000 images, this atlas is an essential reference guide for all uveitis specialists and general ophthalmologists. Regular updates on new insights, techniques and treatments meet the point-of-need requirements of the busy readers looking for most current information.

⭐I am an optometry student and this book was recommended by my school and mentors. It has a lot of colored pictures and information that is useful in a clinical setting.

⭐Small & concise.

⭐Quick reference. The best eye book there is if you ask me. It’s in outline format. Very helpful and easy to create an informal classroom lecture from to supplement the photo slides I had. I highly recommend this book even if you’re not an ophthalmologist.

⭐The Bible of ophthalmology residents. It sets the standard of care for all ophthalmologists and is a quick and easy reference. I’ve had a current copy on my desk since I finished my training many years ago.

⭐Still a great book after all these years. To the point and current treatments. Good for office or Board prep. The book is getting a bit thicker so the Kindle edition is perfect. Easily searchable and font can be made larger too.

⭐I love this book!! Informative, easy to follow and is the perfect “pocket” guide. I did order it new and it arrived slightly damaged. Some of the pages were a little bent in.

⭐A concise book about ophthalmic pathology in the emergency room

⭐Study

⭐I am currently a student, and this is excellent to bring around while I see patients in the clinic. Highly recommended by all the supervisors and practising optometrists. I received the North American version and had no problems with it so far! Purchased on Amazon Prime Day in 2019 for a very good deal. I would recommend this to anyone in the eye care field.

⭐Très beau livreEnvoi super rapide , reçu avant la date prévue

⭐Good book

⭐Good handy reference book to have in the consult room (particularly for a new grad who likes to double check differential options to ensure you have considered them all).

⭐Es wäre praktischer und helfreicher, falls solche Bilder jeder Krankheit beifügt werden könnten, um sie mit den Figuren zu erleichtern!

⭐Good purchase

⭐Great source for eyecare but I am retired.

⭐Great book! Handy for clinic too!

⭐My daughter needed this reference manual for work. She was thrilled because it was a newer addition than the one she asked for.

⭐Great book to have!

⭐Believe it is a good book. Unhappy purchase for a new and expensive but damaged paperback item.Amazon should pack books like Book Depository or Elsevier book store to safeguard our books. A plastic bag is not strong enough to protect the books.

⭐I have been an Ophthalmologist for 25 years and have the Wills Eye Manual in my exam lanes. It provides easy access to the oh so important “Standard of Care” for practice. A must you can trust.

⭐A assume read

⭐Considerando il costo abbastanza alto del manuale, e comunque inferiore ad altri venditori ,si poteva utilizzare una copertina un po’ piu’ rigida.
